Happy Weekend!
Hope everyone’s weekend is off to a fabulous start.
I had a longggg flight yesterday (almost 6.5 hours!)-after a full day of work and emotionally exhausting day. When I finally fell asleep it was nearing 4:30 AM East Coast time. Ugh.
But it felt amazing to sleep in a king-sized bed and enjoy some air conditioning!
Some eats the last few days:
Now I am sitting at PDX waiting for my parents and Maria to land from New Mexico, then we’re all off to meet Karen and get this grad partay started!
I LOVE Oregon. It’s so gorgeous.
Plus, any airport with these stores is awesome in my book. Le sigh. I heart you West Coast (said in Dr. Dre’s voice. Obviously).
This morning I woke up and I realized that I shouldn’t be ashamed of whether or not “I’ve changed”, as so many of my intelligent (and beyond wonderful!!!) readers pointed out to me yesterday, I’ve grown. And I’m not mad about that.
I am soooo looking forward to a week to re-set and be surrounded by people I love.
So, as I sit here and sip my soy cafe au lait, blog, and listen to The Black Keys (still soooo obsessed with them, just love the blues-y Hendrix-esque guitar), I am truly happy. Even thankful for yesterday’s emotional break-down. It was mind-clearing in it’s own weird way.
Finally, before I go enjoy all Oregon has to offer (and reunite with my family!!!
), I want to say that I was BLOWN AWAY by all the texts, FB messages, and calls I got from readers. You guys are THE BEST.
Thank you for reading, for sharing this journey with me, and for sticking with me through it all. You keep me going. Seriously.
Have a great Father’s Day weekend!
Cheers,
L
